Looking to immerse yourself in a one-day intensive creative writing workshop with like-minded individuals passionate about writing, but who aren’t sure where to start? Then look no further!

This workshop on creative writing for fiction (prose) is specially tailored for beginner writers. This intensive crash course and writing session aims to help you kickstart your writing, and hone your craft by deepening your understanding of what creative writing entails.

What can you expect from Write Bright, a one-day writing workshop?
This workshop will cover the main elements and techniques of good creative writing for fiction, and will focus on the genre of prose. Write Bright will be broken up into teaching and critical discussion segments for each element/technique. Writing exercises and group workshopping will follow each segment to help augment your learning and growth.

At the end of Write Bright, you will have a deeper understanding of what goes into creative writing for fiction, and have an idea about what your next writing project will be.

There will be a maximum class size of 18 participants.

Who can attend Write Bright?
Absolutely anyone can attend this workshop—as long as you’re above 18 years old, and come with an open mind and courage to share your work with peers.

Bullying and/or mocking someone else’s work will not be tolerated. Write Bright is a safe and healthy space where ideas and works are shared, and productive feedback is given.

When and where is the workshop to be held?
Write Bright will be held on Saturday, 24 March 2018, from 10 am to 4 pm. This includes an hour’s lunch break.
